Committees offer AIA New York Chapter members and interested individuals the opportunity to become involved in the work of the Chapter. Program committee members work closely with colleagues who share their interests and concerns, and have the chance to use—and develop—expertise in interest areas ranging from alternative careers to zoning.

Most committees meet monthly for lectures, tours, or discussions. Some committees sponsor exhibitions and educational events. Others study proposed legislation, development schemes, and urban issues, and then, working with the Board of Directors and Executive Director, communicate the Chapter's position in public testimony or letters to government officials. All are encouraged to attend committee meetings.

Committees meet often. Check the weekly e-calendar for upcoming dates or contact the committee chair. Click menu at left for committee descriptions. Fill in the form to join a committee.
