Archtober (ärk'tōbər), the city-wide festival of architecture activities, programs, and exhibitions, will take place from October 1-31, 2015.

Archtober’s curated calendar features more than 150 architecture and design lectures, conferences, programs, and exhibitions happening at the Center for Architecture and collaborating institutions across the city.

Exhibition Highlight

Designing Affordability


Designing Affordability: Quicker, Smarter, More Efficient Housing Now presents 23 case studies that address ways of reducing costs without compromising design quality. The exhibition examines how architects, engineers, planners, policy makers, tenants, and homeowners are crafting innovative ways to reduce the cost of housing.

At the South Street Seaport

Seaport Culture District is an innovative new program that brings together a dynamic gathering of cultural partners to the storied streets of Lower Manhattan. 

The Center's pop-up location at the Seaport Culture District (181 Front Street) currently hosts the exhibition Sea Level, a water's eye view of New York City, along with a number of programs related to architecture adn the built environment.
