AIANY advocacy efforts and civic participation have been featured in two recent articles; on November 29, the New York Observer reported, "the institute has been quietly raising its profile, politically, professionally and culturally." On December 11, the International Business Times reported on AIANY's role in the Urban Umbrella unveiling at 100 Broadway and the Chapter's ongoing commitment to its members, stating, "AIANY has increased its activism in the past year, pushing for both design and legislation on behalf of its members..."
